Shaun Dempsey is a Townsville singer/songwriter/musician who has recently released his debut album of original music. Shaun produces a lively, sometimes forceful sound largely due to his powerful and potent vocal style. With his wide range of songs, rhythmic guitar style, and attention to lyrical detail his originals will have you tapping your feet one minute and melting into your chair the next. Shaun has recently teamed up for live gigs with prominent local musicians Steve Sparrow (guitar) and Rebecca McHutchison (saxophone) to produce a funky and spontaneous rock/folk sound.

Shaun has performed at Townsville venues including Marta's Gallery, the Court Theatre and the Mercure Inn and has played various festivals in Queensland including Woodford Folk Festival (2007), Yungaburra Folk Festival (2007, 2008) and Palm Creek Festival (2007, 2008).
